Welcoming millions of visitors every year, Manchester Fort has a huge choice in shopping and leisure for visitors. Located just half a mile from Manchester City Centre, the shopping and leisure park provides the ultimate shopping experience with four hours free parking on site – it’s even easily accessible by bus.

On top of this, our stores and restaurants are open until late, so you can shop and dine at a time which suits you. Many of our stores are also click and collect destinations – shop online and collect your products at the store.

From Oldham…

By Car: A62 > A6010 > Fort (20 mins)
Tram: Oldham King Street > Victoria – East Didsbury line
Bus: Corporation St/Victoria > Cheetham Hill Rd – 135

From Bury…

By Car: Rochdale Rd > M66 > A576 > Cheetham Hill Rd > Fort (approx. 20 mins)
By Bus: Bury Interchange (Stand H) > Cheetham Hill Rd – 135 (approx. 35 mins)

From clockwise on Manchester’s Inner Ring Road – Trinity Way (A6042) – pass the MEN arena on your right and bear left into A665. The centre is located at the junction of Cheetham Hill Road (A665) and Queens Road.

Walk to bus stop N on Corporation Street: Corporation Street starts from the bottom of Market Street and runs past Exchange Square (with the fountain), passing the Football Museum (glass building) on your left and Printworks on your right.  

Continue alongside Manchester Victoria until you see the bus stop Ns. You need to get off at the Cheetham Hill Road/Elizabeth Street stop which is served by the 135 to Whitefield/Bury.

Get a train to Manchester Victoria Station. From the station, walk out onto Corporation Street (follow the tramlines out of the station onto the main road) and follow By Bus from Centre directions. For full timetable information, see: Trainline and National Rail.

The majority of stores at Manchester Fort open from 9am on weekdays and Saturdays, and 11am on Sundays. However, some store times may vary so please check with individual stores before you visit.

Free WiFi at Manchester Fort…

Free Wi-Fi is available for all visitors at Manchester Fort. To log into the Wi-Fi, simply visit the Wi-Fi option on tablet or smartphone and find ‘Manchester Fort’.

Once selected you will be redirected to a page where you can log in through Facebook, X or email. Wi-Fi is only available between 8am – 11pm.

Parking…

There are over 1,200 free car parking spaces at Manchester Fort Shopping Park including parent and child and disabled parking spaces.

There is a maximum stay of 4 hours between 7am – 11pm. Our car park is controlled by automatic number plate recognition cameras and/or parking attendants.

Parking enforcement scheme

A parking charge of £100 may be issued if you park and do not observe the following conditions:

  • Maximum stay of 4 hours between the hours 07:00 – 23:00, no return within 1 hour. This car park is for customers only. You cannot pay to park in the car park.
  • No parking between the hours of 23:00 – 07:00
  • Park within a marked bay
  • No parking on double yellow lines or in any hatched areas
  • No parking in a parent and child bay without a child under the age of 12
  • Display a valid blue badge when parking in a designated blue badge bay

We’re Park Access Certified

We’re delighted that Manchester Fort has received a Park Access Award of Excellence from the British Parking Association for meeting accessible parking needs.

Park Access is the UK’s biggest accreditation for accessible parking, auditing and certifying car parks as accessible and inclusive.

The scheme exists to enable confidence in traveling safely and easily to your destination, with the knowledge that you will have your parking accessibility needs met upon arrival.

 

Facilities…

Toilets
Customer toilets are located in the Customer Service suite. Baby changing facilities are also available.

Amazon Locker
There is an Amazon Locker located at Manchester Fort. Select our location at the checkout – our locker name is ‘Benson’.

Click and Collect
Many of our stores offer click and collect services, look out for the click and collect icon on individual store pages.

Photo Booth
There is a Photo-Me photo booth located in the Customer Service area for passport, driving licence and visa photos.

Did you know that some of our stores are dog-friendly?

That’s right, your furry friends don’t have to miss out on the fun! Several of our retailers welcome well-behaved dogs, so you can shop and stroll together.
