Competition Terms and Conditions
1.Entry requirements – To participate in the Manchester Fort World Book Day Giveaway, entrants must follow the instructions outlined in the competition post on the Manchester Fort Facebook or Instagram page. Entries made by replying directly to the Terms and Conditions page will not be accepted. The competition closes at 10:00am on Tuesday 10 March 2026. Entries received after this time will not be counted.
2.Winner selection – One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries that meet the entry criteria set out in clause 1.
3.Eligibility – The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Workman LLP, their immediate families, contractors, or anyone otherwise professionally connected with the promotion.
4.The prize – The prize consists of one £100 book bundle, which will be donated to the winner’s chosen school or nursery. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.
5.Winner notification – The winner will be contacted via direct message on the platform used to enter the competition (Facebook or Instagram) and asked to provide the details of their chosen school or nursery. The book bundle will be sent to the selected school or nursery by post.
6.Alternative prize – The promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equal or greater value in the event of circumstances beyond its control.
7.Entry limits – Only one entry per person will be accepted unless otherwise stated in the competition post.
8.No purchase necessary – No purchase is necessary to enter the competition. However, an internet connection and access to Facebook or Instagram will be required. The promoter will not refund any costs incurred in entering the competition, including internet access.
9.Invalid entries – The promoter reserves the right to exclude entries that it believes to be inappropriate, fraudulent, or submitted in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
10.Prize conditions – The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part.
11.Claiming the prize – The winner must respond and claim their prize within 48 hours of being notified. If the winner does not respond within this timeframe, the promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
12.Promoter’s decision – The decision of the promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
13.Data protection – By entering this promotion, participants consent to the promoter collecting and processing their personal data for the purpose of administering this competition.
14.Use of personal data – Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be used for marketing purposes without prior consent.
15.Platform disclaimer – This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram. By entering, participants confirm that they release Facebook and Instagram from any responsibility relating to this promotion. Participants are providing their information to Workman LLP, not to Facebook or Instagram.
16.Technical issues – The promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, damaged or not received due to technical issues, including network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind.
17.Publicity – The winner may be asked to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the competition, such as providing a short quote or being photographed for promotional purposes, without additional compensation.
18.Right to amend or cancel – The promoter reserves the right to withdraw, suspend or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
19.Governing law – This promotion and these Terms and Conditions are governed by English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
