We were delighted to support this year’s Cheetham Cultural Festival, which took place from Thursday 15th October to Sunday 18th October 2026, celebrating the diversity, culture and community spirit that make Cheetham such a special place.
As part of our support for the festival, we sponsored the volunteer t-shirts, provided snack bags for the fantastic team of volunteers, and donated prizes for a number of festival activities. This included a £25 Regatta gift card for the table tennis competition hosted at Khizra Mosque, alongside prizes for the winners and runners-up of the art competition.
We were also pleased to see our Oxfam store at Manchester Fort host the Sarfraz Poetry event, helping provide a welcoming space for attendees to come together and enjoy an inspiring celebration of poetry and culture.
Across the four-day event, residents and visitors enjoyed a packed programme of live performances, music, food, activities and cultural celebrations. The festival provided a wonderful opportunity for people from all walks of life to connect, celebrate and embrace the rich diversity of the local community.
We would like to thank everyone who attended, volunteered, performed and worked behind the scenes to make the festival such a success. Their dedication and enthusiasm helped create a welcoming and memorable event for all.
We are proud to have played a part in supporting another fantastic Cheetham Cultural Festival and look forward to seeing the event return next year.
