Young artists are invited to celebrate ‘togetherness’ for Cheetham Cultural Festival 2025.
As part of this year’s Cheetham Cultural Festival celebrations, children and young people across Cheetham and Crumpsall are being invited to take part in a special creative arts competition exploring the theme of Togetherness.
This year, Manchester Fort is proud to be supplying prizes for the competition, supporting the celebration of creativity and community spirit.
The art competition encourages participants to think about the people in their communities, friends, family, classmates, or neighbours and to reflect on the importance of unity, diversity, and connection in everyday life. Why do we like being together, even when we come from different places and believe different things? Why is being together important?
Entrants are invited to express their ideas through artwork created on the back of the competition sheet (download the entry sheet here) or on an A4 sheet of paper. Submissions can include drawings, poems, collages or a combination of words and images – any style is welcome and creativity is encouraged.
To take part, young artists should include their name, age, and school or group, and submit their entries via their school or group. Entries can also be arranged for collection by emailing gemma@manchesterjewishmuseum.com. There are three age categories: 6 and under, 7–10 and 11–16, with prizes awarded for the best entries.
Cheetham Cultural Festival is taking place from 16th – 19th October and continues to be a highlight of the local community calendar, recognising the individuals, groups and shared values that make Cheetham and Crumpsall great places to live, work and grow.
